Hi! I am Deborah A. Johnson, daughter of the Most High God, wife to Davon Johnson and minister of the gospel. I was born in Nigeria, I am the oldest of four children, and a preacher’s kid — so I’ve been in church my WHOLE life. I currently serve as a minister at my local church and I am the co-owner of a Christian apparel brand with my husband called Integrity By Design. I LOVE to worship Jesus, tell others about the good news of Jesus Christ, and encourage women to give their all to Christ in total surrender. Although I grew up in church, I didn’t fully understand salvation or accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior until my teenage years. I gave my life to the Lord in the very first moments of 2006 at a New Year’s Eve Service at my church. It hasn’t been an easy journey thus far but it’s been very rewarding and the Lord has been keeping me ever since. Below is a video about my testimony of how I came to Christ.
In 2010 God took me through a very trying season, which was the beginning of many, where He gave me the name “Heart of Worship” and began to birth WORSHIP in me (I speak more about this in the About This Blog page).
In that same year, 2010, The Lord revealed to me who my future husband was and instructed me to wait patiently on Him to bring our marriage to past. Eventually in 2012 my now husband approached me letting me know that the Lord had revealed the same thing to him, and he later proposed. We got married on June 28, 2014, one of the best days of our lives! The Lord did miraculous things to bring our wedding day together and I’ve written about the whole process on this blog (check out the post here and find my husband’s blog and social media pages here). Being married in Christ and being married to Christ has been a beautiful journey thus far. I have learned and have grown so much and continue to learn and grow daily.
The Lord began pressing on my heart to start blogging in the later months of 2014 shortly after I got married. After pondering on it and seeking Him for confirmation, I finally began this blog on January 30, 2015. I pray that this blog blesses you and encourages you to run after God like never before. Join me as I pour out my heart and post on different topics as the Lord leads.
