Grace to Soar!

Sometimes on my birthday, The Lord will give me a word to meditate and stand on for the new year of my life. It had been a couple of years since He gave me a word on my birthday, but this past June when I was celebrating my 28th birthday the Lord gave me the word GRACE. He had me to really meditate on the past few years of my life and everything that took place during those years. Continue reading “Grace to Soar!”

A Transformed Life

We live in a time where everyone holds the title of Christian but unfortunately many don’t know what that truly means. What it really means to be a Christian has been watered down by bad preaching, bad examples, false interpretation of scripture, and the mixture of the holy and the profane. Fortunately, regardless of how people falsely portray Christianity (whether intentionally or unintentionally), the true meaning of Christianity and salvation doesn’t change in God’s eyes. When we stand before God, we will give an account of our lives to Him based on HIS STANDARDS, not on man’s warped standards. No matter how much man has tried to taint it, true Christianity will always be according to God’s standard. Continue reading “A Transformed Life”

Focus on Worship

So many things come to take our attention and steal our focus from The Lord. Life can throw many things at us that cause fear, worry, doubt, hopelessness, anxiety and more. Throughout my years of walking with The Lord, I’ve gone through many seasons of highs and lows. It was in one of my darkest seasons that God taught me how to focus on worshiping Him in spite of my circumstances, how to worship Him through the pain, through the tears, through the persecution, the misunderstanding, the disappointments and the embarrassments. Worship is what got me through. Continue reading “Focus on Worship”

No Regrets

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great start to your new year. I’m so excited for 2018 and all that God has in store for this year, I truly believe that some great things are going to take place this year. At the beginning and ending of each year I find myself doing a lot of reflecting – I reflect on my life thus far, the previous year, my journey with God thus far and how far He has brought me. God’s Way to Success

Hey Jesus Worshippers! I pray your Thanksgiving went well and you enjoyed time with family and friends.

A few weeks ago, I was a guest speaker on a podcast and spoke on the topic of ‘Defining Success Through God’s Standards.’ It was an awesome show and topic and I’ll link the podcast below once it’s available. The topic of the podcast reminded me so much of my journey of learning that God’s definition of success is much different from what the world calls success. I wish I knew then, earlier in my journey, what I know now. Continue reading “God’s Way to Success”

Integrity By Design

I’m sure a lot of us can agree that we live in a time where everyone says they are a Christian, everyone goes to church, everyone believes in Jesus, and everyone thinks they are going to heaven. The sad reality is many of the people who call themselves Christians really are not. Many people who profess Christ do not live what they profess; the life they live completely contradicts who they say they are. Continue reading “Integrity By Design”

Being Humble Where God Has You

A lot of times God will have us in a certain place, situation, or season that we don’t really want to be in. We don’t fully see the purpose of us being there and everything in us fights against the place He has us. It could be a season where things don’t look the way you expected, a time were certain needs or desires haven’t been met, an undesirable living situation, or an extended trial. When God has us in these uncomfortable and unwanted places it’s easy to feel like we should be past it, like we should have moved on by now, or like we just deserve better. Eternal Consecration

When most of us hear the word consecration we think it’s something we do for a certain number of days to fast, pray, and seek the Lord. We think it’s something we do from time to time and when it’s over, it’s over. That’s all I thought consecration was too until God began to show me that there’s much more to it than that. Consecration is not just something you do when you go on a major fast; consecration for the true believer is a lifestyle! Once you step into Christ you are eternally consecrated – set aside – to and for Him; totally set aside for the Master’s use and for His use alone. Now don’t get me wrong there is a type of consecration where you get away for a number of days to fast, pray, and really seek the Lord, but that type of consecration ends. But when your heart is eternally consecrated to Christ, this consecration continues forever. Continue reading “Eternal Consecration”

Don’t Make Haste

“He that makes haste with his feet sins.” – Prov. 19:2

haste

Have you ever moved on something too quickly because you were anxious, afraid, or thought you had it all figured out without first seeking God only to have that thing fail and crumble? Or have you wanted to do something so bad but didn’t feel peace from God to go ahead and do that thing and didn’t have the patience to wait on God for a reply? Continue reading “Don’t Make Haste”
